Adelaide had gone to bed feeling Great and woken up feeling Brilliant.
She peeked through the crack in the ensuite door, took a peek at her husband cleaning her teeth. Adelaide smiled.

I'm pondering three possibilities here:
a) Adelaide's husband is a girl
b) Adelaide has false teeth she keeps in the ensuite, where anyone can come in and clean them
c) Adelaide got a pronoun wrong
Adelaide admits to c, but very much likes the sound of b
