The advice still stands

It was the kind of day made Adelaide think of the university lecturer who had written, on every one of the essays Adelaide handed her, generally lucid, but occasionally diffuse.

My favourite comment was: 'This is a borderline credit/distinction essay, but I'm going to give it a distinction because of its sophisticated tone.' That just about sums me up, really. All tone, no content or argument.

Yes, but it gets you over the line.
